The cliché saying of “numbers don’t lie” has never been more true than when applied to the neighborhood of Stevenson Ranch. The community looks exactly how it does on paper. Young people that are trying to find their footing within their new careers will continually be driven away from the community due to the high costs of living. The median household income of Stevenson Ranch is approximately $133,000, according to the Census Reporter. This is more than double the per capita income which is just under $56,000. Multiple incomes is almost a requirement in order to afford most housing units within the area.

It is no surprise that most of the community, whether it is kids or adults, speak English. The main trend within the community is of the foreign language speakers, the adults always had a higher percentage as opposed to kids. Spanish speakers in particular had the largest gap, with a 5% difference between the kids and adults at home. This could be a product of assimilation in a community that is primarily English speaking.

When looking at age ranges of the community, it is clear there as to why a generational divide exists. The Ages 40–59 boasts the largest percentage of the population, with 0–19 right behind. Stevenson Ranch is made up of mostly just families, which is why there are a lot of teenagers and middle aged people. The makeup of the neighborhood leaves it unwelcoming to millennials and other young adults. The ideological differences across the generations remain as strong as ever.
